A quick flip of the channel, and the mention of Fiona Apple’s name (on VH1 no less) sent me to my computer to quietly listen and reminisce.

Tidal was one of my first CDs and I listened to it in my discman on repeat (what can I say I am a product of the 90s) and I was surprised tonight to learn I still know every word to every song.

The reminder of Fiona Apple’s name sent me to listen to this album again because this it was the first cd where I listened to music for more than just because it sounded good to me.  I dissected the lyrics and listened to songs over and over until they took on a whole new meaning.

I learned to love music in a whole new way via Fiona Apple’s voice, and I will always have a special place in my music loving heart for this album because of it.
